Favorite spots in Manhattan include the Cannibal for meat (in case you couldn’t guess), Ivan Ramen, Pig and Khao, and Charlie Bird. These spots are consistently amazing and never disappoint. Dear Irving and the Old Rabbit Club are my favorite spots for cocktails and beer, respectively. And Tiny’s always holds a special place in my heart, as it where Jason and I had our first date… food and drinks are pretty damn good, too. A lot of the other more renowned restaurants (for example Gramercy Tavern, Scarpetta, Batard, and One if By Land), while the food was consistent and delicious, I just found the atmospheres pretentious. I would much rather eat at one of the other more casual spots, feel more at home, and get (much) more bang for my buck.
